Ontario Works offers supports and resources to help you with your career.

  • Employment Programs and Services
    We offer programs to help you with your job search and career.

  • Employment Placement Program
    The Employment Placement Program helps to find a job suitable for you.

  • Employment Benefits
    We provide employment benefits such as job search support, financial assistance for training or other employment expenses, and programs with a focus on your career path and skill building.

  • Employment Assistance Activities
    Get help to cover costs (e.g. transportation, fees) when you are taking part in Employment Assistance Activities.

  • Child Care Costs
    We offer financial help to cover the costs of childcare if you get a job or are involved in employment activity.

  • Full-time Employment Benefit
    Get help to cover the cost of clothing, safety shoes or work boots, and tools and special equipment if you are starting a full-time job.

  • Extended Health Benefit
    If you no longer qualify for financial help under Ontario Works due to employment and do not have a health benefits plan with your employer, you may be eligible for this benefit.


Employment Resource Centres

Our Employment Resource Centres are self-directed sites where you can find job postings and tools needed for your job search. Access to computers, internet, fax and photocopy machines are available on site.
