Primary Care Paramedics

Location: District of Timiskaming
Classification: Part-Time, District Float

Reporting to the Paramedic Services Deputy Chief of Operations, the Paramedic responds to emergency and non-emergency calls to provide the full scope of timely, quality, pre-hospital emergency care to the public while safely operating emergency vehicles and transporting patients to and from health care facilities. The Paramedic conducts patient assessments, provides airway management, administers oxygen, performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), provides basic trauma care, administers symptom relief medications, and performs manual external defibrillation, in addition to performing specific controlled acts, while treating patients, co-workers and management with integrity, respect and in a manner consistent with Legislation, Regulations, policies and professional standards. Other related duties, as assigned. This position is unionized.

Deputy Chief of System Integration and Innovation

Location: New Liskeard, District Wide
Classification: Permanent, Full-Time

This new position reports to the Paramedic Services Chief and assists with cost-effective and safety-centered system integration within Paramedic Services, and with external partners, exercising authority as delegated and approved through the Chief. The Deputy Chief of System Integration and Innovation (SII) coordinates people resources, continuous quality improvement initiatives, and other activities that support daily paramedic operations. The role supports and oversees the implementation of approved operational and administrative processes, policies, and practices to support efficient service delivery, while meeting or exceeding regulatory standards and requirements, by delegating tasks to paramedic and leadership staff.
