Ontario Works Caseworker

Location: Kirkland Lake
Classification: Permanent Full-Time

Ontario Works Caseworkers operate within a highly ethical environment and are accountable for going the extra mile to promote life stability, wellbeing, and self-sufficiency for our clients. Caseworkers work collaboratively with others to help individuals find the supports they need to achieve life stabilization goals, including financial independence and employability. This involves developing and implementing individualized case management plans, coordinating services, making referrals, and advocating for clients.

Primary Care Paramedics / Part-Time District Float

Location: District of Timiskaming
Classification: Part-Time

The DTSSAB is responsible for the direct delivery of Land Ambulance Services within the District. Paramedic Services Bases are in the South (Haileybury), Central (Englehart), and North (Kirkland Lake) areas. Reporting to the Paramedic Services Deputy Chief of Operations, the Paramedic responds to emergency and non-emergency calls to provide the full scope of timely, quality, pre-hospital emergency care to the public while safely operating emergency vehicles and transporting patients to and from health care facilities. The Paramedic conducts patient assessments, provides airway management, administers oxygen, performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation CPR), provides basic trauma care, administers symptom relief medications, and performs manual external defibrillation, in addition to performing specific controlled acts, while treating patients, co-workers and management with integrity, respect and in a manner consistent with Legislation, Regulations, policies and professional standards. Other related duties, as assigned. This position is unionized.
